Chronology of cameras Carl Zeiss Jena

This camera was intended for technical and scientific photography. It was used in an optics laboratory in Germany. Its exact use is not known to us.

It does not have a viewfinder. The chrome lever between the camera body and the lens is used for advancing the film. The central shutter is cocked by another mechanism on the Prestor shutter. Three numbers, 1, 2, 4, mark aperture settings.

Another feature of this camera is its ultra-bright lens: 0.85/40 mm. It is fixed, mounted around the central shutter, with two lens groups framing it.

The same type of camera, without a lens, is typically specialized for microscope photography.
